Nollywood star Mercy Aigbe-Adeoti recently shared insights on her decision to marry film producer Kazim Adeoti as his second wife, highlighting shared goals as a major factor. Speaking on *Nollywood on Radio*, Mercy revealed that their union is built on a foundation of mutual ambition within the entertainment industry.
“One of the reasons I married him is because we’re building an empire together,” she explained. “With both of our strengths, we’re creating a production empire, and it’s exciting to think about the future.”
Mercy’s marriage to Adeoti has sparked significant public scrutiny, with critics mentioning Adeoti’s first wife, Funso, who reportedly did not consent to the marriage. Social media comments quickly pointed out the controversy, with users accusing Aigbe of betrayal.
Aigbe’s relationship with Adeoti has faced rumors since the beginning, especially due to reports claiming she was friends with Funso prior to the marriage. Addressing the claims, Adeoti clarified that he had been business partners with Aigbe for over a decade before they began dating.
