Manchester United and Chelsea are leading the pursuit of Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres, whose impressive season has caught the attention of top European clubs. Reports indicate that Gyokeres could be available for around £63 million next summer, despite a higher release clause, as Sporting may negotiate a discount. Manchester United’s possible appointment of Sporting manager Ruben Amorim could add appeal to the move, potentially reuniting the two. However, United’s recent struggles with big transfers might give Gyokeres pause.
