Nigerian businessman Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, recently shared nostalgic throwback family photos on Instagram, reminiscing about the cherished memories of his mother’s 78th birthday in July 2020, during the COVID-19 period.
Obi expressed his gratitude for life, good health, growth, and family unity, noting how, apart from his late mother, everyone in the photos is alive, healthy, and thriving. He highlighted how his siblings have grown, with the men and women making significant impacts in their respective fields while aging gracefully.
Reflecting on his family’s journey, Obi wrote, “Apart from Mama, who’s gone to be with God, everyone else in these photos is alive, healthy, and has grown! The boys are big boys now. The girls are big girls too! The family is intact!!! Grateful to God almighty for life, good health, growth, unity, family love, and a super bright future!!”
Obi Cubana also recalled the impact of his mother’s burial in 2021, a grand ceremony that attracted business magnates, celebrities, and dignitaries. Despite her passing before reaching 80, Obi and his siblings ensured she had a dignified burial, breaking a generational curse in their family.
