Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has appealed to Osun indigenes residing in Ondo State to cast their votes for Agboola Ajayi, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, in the forthcoming Ondo State governorship election.
Speaking to the indigenes in Akure, the Ondo State capital, Adeleke urged them to show their support for Ajayi as a demonstration of their loyalty to him. He stressed that the key to meaningful development in Ondo is the removal of the current All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration, which he criticized for exacerbating the hardship experienced by Nigerians.
Adeleke further encouraged the people of Ondo to join the growing wave of progress sweeping through the southwest by voting for Ajayi. “Ondo will experience light, and light is coming to Ondo State,” he declared, rallying his supporters to take the message to every household in the state. He expressed his full backing for Ajayi and called for a vigorous, grassroots campaign to secure a victory.
The Osun governor’s call comes as both political and economic tensions mount, with Adeleke framing the election as a pivotal moment for the future of Ondo’s development.
