Arsenal defender Ben White has lauded teammate Bukayo Saka for his impressive football understanding and teamwork. White, who plays on the right side of Arsenal’s defense, highlighted Saka’s commitment to sharing defensive responsibilities from his position on the wing.
In a conversation with former England goalkeeper Ben Foster on Amazon Prime, White explained, “If I’m on the ball in the pocket, then maybe I’m getting ready to throw the ball, but when it’s mine or Bukayo’s, you’re flying.” He emphasized the significant impact Saka has on his defensive efforts.
“The amount of defending he does for me… it’s crazy. He never leaves me in a one-vs-one situation, which is obviously a massive help for me when I’m up against Rashford,” White added, underscoring the importance of teamwork in their defensive strategy under Mikel Arteta.
