Controversial cross-dresser Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has allegedly stated that he paid N5 million to an unnamed Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) to secure a pardon from the Federal Government concerning money laundering charges filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The claims were made in an audio recording leaked on October 7, 2024, by social media influencer Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan. The recording reportedly dates back to May 16, 2024.
In the audio, Bobrisky mentions that the SAN initially requested N10 million but that he could only manage N5 million due to his accounts being frozen by the EFCC. He stated, “I’m supposed to finish my sentence by July, but if we get the amnesty, I could leave by the first week of next month.”
Bobrisky explained that his “godfather” provided him with the N5 million, which was sent to the SAN two weeks prior to the leak, claiming that the request for pardon had already been submitted.
Recently, Senior Advocate Femi Falana denied any involvement with Bobrisky, asserting that he has had no business dealings with the cross-dresser, only indicating that Bobrisky had spoken to his son, Folarin Falana, known as Falz.
In a related development, singer Seun Kuti stated that he had given VeryDarkMan the go-ahead to expose Bobrisky concerning an alleged N15 million bribe.
