The Borno State Police Command has issued a public notice regarding severe flood damage to critical routes, including the Ajeri-Dikwa and Dikwa-M/Guri roads. The flash flood has disrupted socio-economic activities, rendering these key pathways impassable.
In a statement released Saturday night, Police Public Relations Officer ASP Nahum Daso urged travelers from areas like Mafa, Dikwa, Ngala, Marte, Kalbalge, Maiduguri, as well as those from neighboring Cameroon and Chad, to explore alternate routes. “Commuters should remain vigilant and stay updated on the situation,” Daso advised.
While no casualties have been reported, the police stressed their commitment to public safety. They encouraged residents to stay informed as conditions evolve and provided emergency contacts: 0806 807 5581, 0802 347 3293.
