Social media activist Very Dark Man has taken aim at BBNaija star Phyna, criticizing a statement she made about relationships. Phyna had remarked that women can offer men things that their mothers cannot, a comment that did not sit well with Very Dark Man. In response, he argued that Phyna believed her statement was profound, but in reality, he felt it was off base.
In his rant, Very Dark Man also commented on the prevalence of married men financially supporting young women, suggesting that if men stayed loyal to their wives, many luxury homes in areas like Lekki would be vacant. He expanded his criticism to include women in Abuja, Benin, and Port Harcourt, claiming that the lavish lifestyles they lead are often funded by married men.
He acknowledged that there are hardworking women who earn their own money, but claimed that the percentage of such women is small. According to him, about 70% of wealthy young women in Nigeria have financial backers who are married men. He also expressed skepticism about how women on modest salaries can afford high-end items like luxury wigs or cars, especially actresses earning between ₦250,000 and ₦1,000,000 but driving cars worth over ₦70 million.
Very Dark Man concluded by criticizing some women driving expensive cars, suggesting that they may lack the intellectual “range” to match the luxury lifestyles they portray.
