Kebbi Beach Soccer Club (KBSC) has announced that it will not participate in the 2024 World Winner’s Cup in Alghero, Italy, due to delays in securing visas from the Italian Embassy. According to a statement by NBSL Media, despite repeated communications since August, the team’s visa application was denied, citing late submission.
The club expressed disappointment at missing the global beach soccer tournament for the third time but emphasized its commitment to representing Nigeria and Africa in future competitions. KBSC is now shifting its focus to preparing for the 2024/2025 Kebbi Beach Soccer League and the 2025 Nigeria Beach Soccer League, with hopes of retaining their league title.
The club thanked its fans and supporters for their understanding and promised to work towards greater achievements in upcoming tournaments.
