The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) has assured Nigerian employees that their personal data on the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) remains secure and uncompromised. In a statement by OAGF spokesperson Bawa Mokwa, the government emphasized its commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient payroll system.
The OAGF clarified that no data is stored on its website, which is used solely for information sharing, not transactions. It also addressed concerns about the recently developed IPPIS validation portal, noting that the portal was deployed on a secure platform and has since been shut down after the data collection exercise.
Reassuring employees, the OAGF stated that robust security measures are in place to protect digital assets, adhering to global best practices. Employees facing salary anomalies were advised to follow official procedures for resolution.
