The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has extended the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in Edo State to September 15, ahead of the gubernatorial election set for September 21. INEC’s National Commissioner, Sam Olumekun, announced the extension following an interactive meeting with stakeholders in Benin City.
The extension comes after calls from political parties, candidates, and civil society groups urging the commission to allow more time for voters to collect their cards. PVCs can now be collected at INEC’s local offices from 9 am to 5 pm daily.
