The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has revealed that the Federal Government of Nigeria has launched at least eleven significant initiatives aimed at benefiting citizens across various sectors, including education, transportation, business, housing, and skills development.
In a post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, Idris used the hashtag #HMMohammedIdris to make this announcement. The post, which included a two-minute and 52-second video, emphasized the availability of these initiatives for Nigerians to access and register.
Idris stated, “There are at least eleven key initiatives set up by the federal government, offering opportunities in areas like education, transportation, business, housing, and skills acquisition.” Olusegun Dada, Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Social Media, also shared a list of these initiatives, including their respective registration websites.
On the previous day, the National Orientation Agency, via its official X handle, #NOA_Nigeria, highlighted that the Federal Government is implementing strategic policies to tackle ongoing economic issues, with a particular focus on supporting the youth population, which makes up about 76% of the nation’s demographics.
The agency posted, “The Federal Government is taking decisive steps to provide long-term solutions to Nigeria’s economic challenges, especially in light of the subsidy removal. Several relief measures are being put in place, primarily aimed at the youth.”
