The funeral arrangement banner for the late veteran actor, John Ikechukwu Okafor, famously known as Mr. Ibu, has surfaced on the internet.
According to reports from Gistreel, the beloved actor passed away on March 2, 2024, following a prolonged health battle and leg amputation. He was 63 years old.
Mr. Ibu’s final resting place will be in his hometown of Amuri, located in the Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State, as announced by his family on April 13.
The funeral events are scheduled to commence on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, with a unique procession involving members of the Nollywood community and Rangers International. The following day will witness Mr. Ibu’s Candlelight Procession.
On June 27, a Christian wake service will be held at Eziokwe Amuri, Enugu State, followed by the transportation of his remains from the Eastern Nigerian Medical Center to his birthplace for burial on the subsequent day.
