In a recent development, Mohbad’s mother, Abosede, maintains her stance on the necessity of a DNA test, insisting that the singer’s wife, Wunmi, must comply despite her previous refusal.
Wunmi had previously declared her adamant stance against conducting any DNA test on her son, Liam, sparking controversy and public attention.
In a recent interview, Mohbad’s mother reiterated her position, stating that she cannot extend her support to her daughter-in-law until the DNA test is conducted on Liam.
She emphasized that the DNA issue should have remained a private family matter and urged Nigerians to refrain from meddling in their affairs.
Expressing her frustration, she questioned the hypocrisy of individuals and stressed her determination to pursue justice for Mohbad, regardless of his father’s intentions.
She concluded by calling on Wunmi to fulfill her part by agreeing to the DNA test, emphasizing her inability to offer support until this step is taken.
In her words, “Nigerians should not be concerned about the DNA issue; it was supposed to be a family matter. I insisted on it from the onset. It was Mohbad’s father who publicized the issue. Why are Nigerians hypocrites? By God’s grace, we shall get justice for Mohbad, even if his father’s intentions are different. Let Omowunmi do her part too. I cannot support her. I want her to do the DNA test.”
