The music industry is abuzz with the news that Innocent Idibia, famously known as 2Baba, and his manager, Efe Omorogbe, have decided to part ways after an extraordinary 20-year journey together.
Efe Omorogbe, a native of Delta State, serves as the CEO of talent management company, Now Muzik.
The announcement of their partnership’s termination came via a joint statement posted on Instagram by Now Muzik on Wednesday, citing a mutual agreement for immediate dissolution.
Omorogbe expressed gratitude on Instagram, stating, “I am grateful to 2baba for the trust and friendship. I am proud of the brands we built together, the music we made, and the fans we entertained.” He hailed 2Baba as one of Nigeria’s greatest musicians and looked forward to supporting him from the sidelines.
In response, 2Baba acknowledged Omorogbe’s pivotal role and the contributions of the Now Muzik team to his career, recognizing that all good things must come to an end. He expressed gratitude for their support and credited them for his career successes.
2Baba joined Now Muzik management in 2004 following his departure from The Plantashun Boiz. Subsequently, he will be represented by his new management company, Hypertek Digital.
The statement highlighted their achievements over the past two decades, defining an era and validating their collective contributions to Africa’s entertainment industry.
