Real Sociedad striker Umar Sadiq has voiced his frustration with his limited game time at the club. Since joining from Almeria in 2022, Sadiq impressed with a debut goal but was sidelined for the remainder of the 2022/23 season due to a cruciate ligament injury.
Though he made a return to action last season, scoring three goals and providing one assist in 26 appearances, most of these were off the bench. This season, the Nigerian international has only featured in six league matches.
Sadiq expressed his desire for more playing time, stating, “I just need continuity, and that doesn’t depend on me. I’m training well and pushing hard. When I get the opportunity, I’ll prove myself.”
