President Bola Tinubu has called on all political stakeholders and voters to maintain peace and decorum ahead of the upcoming governorship election in Ondo State. In a statement released by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy), Tinubu emphasized the importance of a free and fair election, which he believes will strengthen the nation’s democratic process.
Tinubu urged all involved to carry out their civic duties without fear, ensuring a democratic process that truly reflects the will of the people. He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its preparations, including the timely distribution of sensitive election materials and the deployment of security personnel to uphold order.
The President also reiterated the role of political candidates in respecting the people’s right to freely choose their leaders, urging them to conduct themselves in a manner that fosters national unity.
