Rwanda captain Djihad Bizimana is confident that his team, Amavubi, can neutralize the attacking threat of Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman in their upcoming clash. Speaking to Rwandan Times, Bizimana expressed determination to contain the high-profile duo and secure a victory at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles started their 2025 AFCON qualifier campaign with a 3-0 win over Benin, featuring standout performances from Lookman, who scored twice, and Osimhen, who added a third. Despite this, Bizimana believes his side can rise to the challenge.
“We are going to give 150%. Anything less would not be enough,” said the Kryvbas midfielder. “We understand the difficulty of facing such a strong team, but I urge all Rwandans to come out and support us. We are committed to making sure they leave satisfied.”
