In a statement released on April 11, 2025, NCAJ President Mallam Kabiru Sani Bako highlighted issues such as the absence of a functional House of Assembly, alleged complicity of state officials in illegal mining, and the imposition of levies by bandits on residents in various towns. Bako emphasized that these conditions reflect a breakdown of governance and urged the federal government to intervene by appointing a non-partisan administrator to restore order and rebuild institutions in the state.
