In celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child, Nigerian comedian and actress, Anita Asuoha, known as Warri Pikin, has shared a personal story about her previous apprehensions regarding raising a girl child.
Warri Pikin, who underwent weight loss surgery, took to her Instagram page to reveal that she once prayed to God not to give her a daughter. She believed that raising a girl would be too difficult and complex, influenced by her own challenging childhood experiences.
However, despite her initial reservations, God blessed her with two daughters, and she now takes immense pride in her motherhood journey. She expressed her gratitude and prayed for the grace to continue nurturing them.

She explained that the decision to undergo surgery was not easy and required courage. Her choice was motivated by health concerns, and her husband had raised the matter, highlighting that it was a matter of life and death at some point.
Although she faced criticism for her surgical procedure, Warri Pikin defended her decision, emphasizing her improved health and happiness. She also expressed her wish for her critics to understand the challenges she had faced, particularly related to breathlessness and joint pain.
