The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Sly Ezeokenwa, has reaffirmed that Bianca Ojukwu, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, remains a loyal member of the party.
Despite her recent appointment by President Bola Tinubu during a cabinet reshuffle in October, Ojukwu, the widow of the late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, has not resigned from APGA. Speaking on *Channels Television’s Politics Today*, Ezeokenwa clarified, “She is a member of APGA and a BoT [Board of Trustees] member to date. She took up the ministerial appointment as a member of our party.”
Ezeokenwa revealed that the party supported her ministerial role, commending the president for including members of opposition parties in his government. He added, “The president’s decision aligns with what I have always advocated—providing opportunities for technocrats and capable individuals, regardless of their party affiliation, to contribute to governance.”
The APGA chairman emphasized that Ojukwu’s appointment is a significant achievement for the opposition party, signaling readiness to support an inclusive government. He also expressed hope for Tinubu’s success, stating that the welfare of Nigerians should remain the priority.
