Nigerian music sensation Davido, who has garnered multiple awards, has finally issued a public apology to his fans in Warri. He expressed regret over the recent event controversy, promising to bring a spectacular “Timeless” show to Delta State in the near future.
Davido clarified that he had previously communicated his unavailability for the event, which had been promoted under his name for months. He called it a “shame” that the show proceeded without his physical presence.
The situation arose after the former Nigerian Football Federation president accused Davido of breaching their contract by not performing at an event despite receiving a substantial payment. He paid the singer $94,000 and covered the cost of a plane, totaling $18,000, but Davido failed to appear.
In response, Davido challenged his detractors and announced plans to headline a concert in Warri in December, asserting his determination to perform. He also mentioned a willingness to make a donation to the NFF.
While Davido hinted at undisclosed complexities in their agreement, he remained resolute in his commitment to entertaining his fans in Warri.
