INEC Reinstates Sly Ezeokenwa as APGA National Chairman

-

In line with the Supreme Court’s ruling, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reinstated Sly Ezeokenwa as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

The decision was made during INEC’s meeting on Tuesday, where the Commission discussed the Supreme Court’s judgment that affirmed Ezeokenwa’s position as the legitimate leader of APGA. In November, a five-member panel of the Supreme Court, led by Justice Stephen Adah, had ruled that Edozie Njoku’s claims of being the national chairman of APGA were unfounded.

The court’s unanimous ruling recognized Ezeokenwa as the authentic chairman of the party, and INEC has now complied with this ruling. The Commission confirmed in a statement by its National Commissioner, Sam Olumekun, that it has restored Ezeokenwa’s name on its official website as APGA’s rightful chairman.
