Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike has assured FCT residents that President Bola Tinubu instructed him to provide them with any necessary resources. Wike shared this message during the launch of the 10-kilometer Aguma Palace-Radio Nigeria-New Market Road rehabilitation project in Gwagwalada Area Council.
The Minister emphasized that the FCT Administration (FCTA) is dedicated to improving infrastructure and services in the area councils, ensuring that governance has a positive impact across the FCT. Wike highlighted that the road rehabilitation was prioritized by local stakeholders during a recent FCTA town hall meeting with area council representatives.
“I told you Mr. President has directed that we fulfill your requests. Today, we begin reconstruction on this important road segment, a priority request from you,” Wike said. He assured residents that the project would not face delays, affirming that it would be completed and inaugurated next year.
Wike added, “We are not here to preside over land sales but to provide essential services like roads and water, prioritizing the happiness and welfare of the people.”
This assurance is part of the FCTA’s commitment to people-focused governance, ensuring that development directly benefits FCT communities.
