Nollywood actor and producer Yomi Fabiyi recently boasted about his dedication to justice and societal change while revealing that he has gone into hiding due to threats to his life. The threats, according to Fabiyi, stem from his outspoken stance on the mysterious death of singer Mohbad.
Fabiyi, now in an undisclosed location, reflected on his career and the personal sacrifices he has made. He explained that while he has made films to entertain, support himself, and build a legacy, his true passion lies in advocating for justice, truth, and human rights—even if it comes at a personal cost.
In a social media post, he wrote:
“When I make films, I want to entertain people, feed myself, build a legacy, and enjoy my life, and this comes with many friends and admirers.
When I fight for justice, truth, and human rights, I want to help society, sacrifice for society, build a legacy, and endure pains, but this path comes with few friends.”
Fabiyi, who claims to have escaped an assassination attempt, previously shared a video of the room he was hiding in before being transported to the airport. He is now in a “safe country” where he believes the system operates fairly, without government or police interference in murder cases.
The actor continues to stand firm on his pursuit of justice, despite the risks, stating that he is committed to making a difference in society while still considering his filmmaking legacy.
