The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State announced its intention to closely monitor the utilization of the N3 billion flood relief funds provided by the Federal Government. APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, expressed concerns over potential fund mismanagement, citing previous misuse of palliatives as a precedent.
To ensure transparency, a committee led by Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin has been formed to oversee the distribution of relief. Abbas emphasized the APC’s commitment to preventing political misuse and ensuring that the funds serve the intended beneficiaries—those affected by the floods.
