Primate Elijah Ayodele, the founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has advised Nigerian footballer Victor Osimhen against joining Chelsea, predicting that such a move could negatively impact his career. In a brief social media video, Ayodele warned that Osimhen would not thrive at the London club and suggested that his career could suffer if he joined Chelsea.
Ayodele also advised the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) to reconsider calling Osimhen to the national team if he were to move to Chelsea, implying that such a transfer could affect his performance with the Super Eagles. This isn’t the first time Ayodele has spoken about Chelsea; he previously claimed that the club was “cursed” and needed spiritual cleansing to overcome their struggles.
Chelsea is reportedly interested in signing Osimhen, especially after their failed attempt to secure Atlético Madrid’s Samuel Omorodion. The Nigerian striker, currently valued at €130 million, has been linked with several top European clubs, including Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and Liverpool. Despite the high transfer fee, Chelsea remains keen on acquiring Osimhen as the transfer window nears its close.
