In a recent development, the Federal High Court in Lagos has found Bobrisky, the well-known cross-dresser, guilty of misusing the Naira. Judge Abimbola Awogboro delivered the verdict after thoroughly reviewing the case’s details.
During his statement to the court, Bobrisky expressed unawareness of the law concerning Naira misuse, highlighting his status as a social media influencer with a substantial following. However, the judge emphasized that ignorance of the law is not an acceptable defense.
In a plea for leniency, Bobrisky requested a chance to utilize his platform to educate his followers about appropriate currency handling practices, expressing regret for his actions and pledging not to repeat them.
Previously, Bobrisky faced four counts of Naira misuse filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, to which he pleaded guilty.
