Celebrities React as Pastor Jimmy Odukoya Remixes Tyla’s Hit Song “Water” to Mock South Africans

-

Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, known for his transition from Nollywood actor to clergyman, stirred controversy online as he mocked South Africans using a remix of Tyla’s popular song, “Water.”

In the wake of the Super Eagles’ victory over South Africa in the AFCON semi-final, Pastor Jimmy created a rendition of Tyla’s “Water,” dedicating it to the defeated nation. While acknowledging South Africa’s commendable performance, he humorously implied that they needed water to recover from their loss.

Addressing fellow Nigerians, Pastor Jimmy expressed confidence in the Super Eagles’ triumph and offered humorous consolation to South Africans, suggesting that their consolation prize might be “Grammy water.” He ended on a note of encouragement, affirming Nigeria’s determination to claim the AFCON trophy.

His playful rendition sparked reactions from celebrities like Deyemi Okanlawon, Juliana Olayode, Omowunmi Dada, Uche Jombo, and more, who flooded his comment section with amusement and support for the Super Eagles.

Meanwhile, in a contrasting move, BBNaija’s Ike Onyema proposed a trade with South Africans, jokingly suggesting an exchange involving fast-rising singer Tyla, who recently won a Grammy Award.

On another front, singer Kizz Daniel pledged to fulfill a fan’s request to fly him to the UK following the Super Eagles’ victory, showcasing the widespread excitement and camaraderie sparked by the AFCON triumph.
