Suspected kidnappers have reportedly killed a member of a local vigilante and injured three others in Bakutumbe village, Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State. According to an anonymous source, the gunmen, who attacked the village on Saturday evening, also abducted four individuals. The assailants, upon arrival, allegedly fired shots indiscriminately to intimidate residents. The source disclosed that a local vigilante member, Malam Dan Ladiyo, was killed, and three others – Habila Garba, Nura Yakubu, and Sam’ana – sustained gunshot wounds and are currently undergoing treatment. After the gunmen left, it was discovered that seven villagers were taken, three were released, and four remain in captivity. The abducted individuals are Abdullahi Manje, Abdulkarim Na Malam, Hassan See, and Yusuf S. Pawa. The suspected gunmen reportedly headed towards Lukutu Forest after leaving the village. As of the time of reporting, attempts to obtain a reaction from the Bauchi State Police Command were unsuccessful.
