The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), held on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
In a statement issued on Sunday by its spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the board said candidates can now check their mock examination results by texting “MOCKRESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 using the phone number they used for registration.
The mock UTME, an optional exercise, was introduced to test JAMB’s latest innovations and allow candidates to familiarize themselves with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment ahead of the main examination.
According to the board, 200,115 candidates initially registered for the exam. However, two later withdrew, leaving a final figure of 200,113 candidates. Out of these, 73,844 candidates were absent on the exam day, while 88 others could not sit for the test due to failed biometric verification.
As a result, 126,181 candidates successfully sat for the exam. JAMB confirmed that results for 115,735 of them have been released, while 10,446 are still undergoing processing and will be available soon.
Acknowledging some delays experienced by candidates during the mock test, JAMB attributed these issues to newly introduced features aimed at improving the overall conduct of the main UTME. The board expressed regret over the inconveniences caused and appreciated the patience and cooperation of both candidates and parents.
“The mock examination serves as a trial version of the UTME, allowing the Board to test new innovations while helping candidates familiarize themselves with the CBT environment,” the statement read.
JAMB urged all candidates to remain committed and make the necessary sacrifices to ensure a better experience during the main examination.
