-

The South West chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is in mourning following the sudden death of Alhaji Tunde Oladunjoye, the Publicity Secretary of the APC in Ogun State and the South West Coordinator of the Conference of APC State Publicity Secretaries.

In a statement issued on Friday and signed by the Conference Secretary, Alex Kalejaye, the group expressed profound shock and devastation at the news of Oladunjoye’s passing, which occurred on Thursday, April 4, 2025, in the United Kingdom after a brief illness.

Kalejaye described the late Oladunjoye as a brilliant communicator, seasoned journalist, and devoted party man who dedicated his life to the ideals of democracy and good governance.

“We are shattered by this painful loss. Tunde was more than a colleague; he was a brother and a pillar of strength to many of us. His commitment to the APC and his immense contributions to the growth of our party cannot be overstated,” the statement read.

The group also extended deep appreciation to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his efforts in trying to save the late publicist’s life, describing the governor’s intervention as “deeply humane and timely.”

“Our thoughts and prayers are with his immediate family, the good people of Ogun State, and indeed the APC family. May his soul rest in perfect peace,” Kalejaye added.

The late Oladunjoye was widely respected for his articulate and strategic communication style, which helped position the APC’s message across the region.
