Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, has expressed his sympathies to Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State following the loss of his wife, Pastor Mrs. Patience Eno.
In a heartfelt message shared on X, Obi revealed that he traveled to Uyo, the state capital, to personally pay his respects to the late First Lady, whose burial is scheduled for November 29.
Obi extended his condolences, praying that Governor Eno and his family find strength during this challenging time. He said:
“Yesterday, I made a very solemn trip to Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, to personally pay my last respects to the beloved wife of the Governor and First Lady of the state, Pastor Mrs. Patience Eno. I also used the occasion to offer my condolences to the Governor of the State, His Excellency Umo Eno, over the heartbreaking loss of his beloved wife.”
Obi also assured the grieving family of his support, noting that in times of sorrow, solidarity and prayers offer comfort. On behalf of his family and the Obidient movement, he extended heartfelt sympathies to the people of Akwa Ibom, emphasizing his prayers for strength and fortitude for the governor and his loved ones.
