With the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State fast approaching, a pro-democracy group, Mebinone Asogbon Support Group, has pledged its support for the All Progressive Congress (APC) flag bearer, Lucky Aiyedatiwa. The group, led by philanthropist Mebinone Asogbon, donated campaign materials to bolster Aiyedatiwa’s re-election efforts.
The donated items, including customized caps, polo shirts, cash, and other rally materials, were distributed to APC loyalists in Ilaje zone in preparation for a women’s rally. Enikansaye Adebowale, representing the group, presented the materials and was warmly received by the community’s APC Woman Leader, Efurubu Angelina Aderonke.
During a Zoom meeting with key stakeholders, Asogbon highlighted the group’s continued efforts, stating that the donation was just a small part of their larger strategy to secure Aiyedatiwa’s victory. Plans for more rallies and empowerment programs for zonal and ward coordinators are underway to solidify support across the state.
“We’re ready to stand by the governor, come rain or shine,” Asogbon affirmed, encouraging all coordinators to maintain momentum ahead of the election.
