NRC Expands Abuja-Kaduna Train Services to Meet Rising Demand

-

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has increased weekday train services on the Abuja-Kaduna route, expanding from four to six daily trips to accommodate rising passenger demand. According to Yakub Mohmood, Deputy Director of Public Relations, a five-month analysis showed a 22% increase in new passenger registrations on the ticket platform, highlighting a preference for rail transport due to its comfort, reliability, and safety.

The Acting Managing Director of NRC, Ben Iloanusi, noted that similar trends are observed on routes like Lagos-Ibadan and Warri-Itakpe. NRC also assures passengers that senior management will oversee efficiency and address ticket racketeering, with more information available on the NRC website.
