Tension, fears, anxiety in Nasarawa State House of Assembly as alleged certificate scandal is reportedly rocking the house ahead of the June 7th proclamation of the State Assembly by Governor Abdullahi Sule.
New members elect and the old lawmakers, are said to be apprehensive, jettery and panicking for the fear of possible investigation hence the involvement of a principal officer of the House, the Deputy Majority leader, Hon.Daniel Ogah Ogazi (APC kokona East) in such a scandalous allegation.
Apart from the principal officer of the house being accused of certificate forgery, the embattled member representing Kokona East is also being accused of having hand in the killing of three persons during his election as well as instigating crisis in his Local Government, reportedly led to lost of lives and destruction of properties.
Our correspondent gathered reliably that his certificate scandal has been with the EFCC, allegedly on the watch list of the anti-graft agency coupled with the university he claimed to have graduated and obtained a degree in computer science wrote to disowned him.
A documents obtained by our correspondent with the list of students that graduated from the institution as released by the Registrar of the institution, Olugbenga Arajulu indicated that Ogar Ogazi’s name was not found among students who graduated same year Hon. Ogar Ogazi claimed.
The released signed by the Registrar of the institution and obtained by our correspondent reads in part:.
“I write to inform you that there is no record in the University to indicate that Daniel Ogah Ogazi was a student in the Department of computer science, faculty of science, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo state
”
“I do hope you will find the above information useful, please accept the assurances of my warmest Regards”
It was also revealed that the police are currently investigating the lawmaker over alleged killing of three persons during his election where he has been fingered among other crisis in Kokona LGA that claimed lives of many innocent citizens of the area over distribution of properties.
Activities and actions of the lawmaker is said to be reportedly raising high concern, uproar, anxiety and disaffection in the State over his alleged secret deals.
It would be recalled that the lawmaker has been in the House for the past Eight years who as a ranking member is vying for Speakership to unseat the two term speaker in the Nasarawa state House of Assembly.
There however unconfirmed report that INEC may likely withdraw his certificate of return where he may also face suspension before the inauguration of the 7th Assembly in June.
