In a recent development, a Magistrate’s Court in Yaba, Lagos State, granted singer Azeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, bail in the amount of N20 million each, along with three responsible sureties.
This decision follows their arraignment and remand on October 6 due to their alleged involvement in the circumstances surrounding the death of musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are required to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department. The magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, emphasized that no one should attempt to contact her directly on the case, warning that any such attempts would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings.
