The Jigawa State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) has appealed to traditional rulers for their collaboration in combating corruption and administrative injustice across the state.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Emirs of Ringim and Kazaure on Thursday, the commission’s chairman, Barrister Salisu Abdu, emphasized the importance of traditional leaders in sensitizing citizens about the commission’s functions.
The PCACC, established in February by Governor Mallam Umar Namadi, investigates complaints against government agencies and private organizations. It also mediates disputes, recommends corrective actions, and monitors compliance—all free of charge. Since its inception, the commission has resolved over 100 of the 200 complaints received.
Both Emirs, Dr. Abubakar Sayyadi of Ringim and Najib Hussain of Kazaure, commended the commission’s efforts, describing its activities as aligned with the emirates’ values of promoting accountability and good governance. They assured the commission of their full support in fostering transparency and justice.
