Arsenal legend Ian Wright has voiced concerns about the form of Atalanta’s Ademola Lookman as Arsenal prepares for their UEFA Champions League match against the Italian side at Gewiss Stadium.
Lookman, who has been in impressive form with 24 league goals over the past two seasons and a hat-trick in last season’s Europa League final, recently made a strong return to Atalanta’s lineup with a goal and an assist in a 3-2 victory over Fiorentina.
Wright, discussing Lookman’s recent performances on his show, *Wrighty’s House*, expressed his admiration for Lookman’s skill but admitted that the player’s form is worrying. “Oh gosh, did you see his first assist with the way he just flicked it? It’s really beautiful football,” Wright said.
However, Wright is optimistic about Arsenal’s defense, noting that Ben White will be tasked with handling Lookman. “If Ben White is on that side, we are going to be entertained. Lookman is a great player, and I’m pleased for him. His journey and current form could certainly lead to a big move.”
The Champions League fixture will be a significant test for Arsenal as they look to start their campaign on a high note against a formidable Atalanta team.
