Social media platforms are ablaze with criticism after Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, was awarded the prestigious ‘Silverbird Man of The Year’ title, defeating his competitors.
The announcement came on Sunday, March 3rd, during the award ceremony held at the Convention Center, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Governor Abiodun clinched the 2023 Man of the Year title after surpassing four other nominees in a rigorous voting process. According to Jacob Akinyemi Johnson, the Chief Creative Officer/Chairman Editorial Board of Silverbird Group, Abiodun secured 70 percent of the votes.
Taking to Twitter, Governor Abiodun expressed gratitude for the recognition, attributing it to his administration’s unwavering commitment to advancing Ogun State. He highlighted his administration’s focus on good governance and pledged to continue working diligently towards the betterment of the state and humanity.
