The Federal Government has declared free train rides for Nigerians traveling during the Christmas and New Year holidays. The announcement was made by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, during a press briefing after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Monday.
The free train service will operate from December 20, 2024, to January 5, 2025, across all routes where train services are currently available.
Idris emphasized that the initiative aims to facilitate travel for citizens during the festive season, ensuring affordability and convenience for families celebrating across the country.
