Super Eagles caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen, has commended the skill level of the home-based players selected for Nigeria’s upcoming 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier against Ghana.
Eguavoen, who invited 35 players to camp in Abuja, noted their technical abilities after two initial training sessions, expressing optimism for their performance despite the challenge of uniting players from various clubs. “They are technically very good,” Eguavoen stated via NFF TV. “We still have a lot of work to do…to blend them into one unit.”
The players will return to their clubs for this weekend’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) games before regrouping next week to continue preparations for the qualifier against Ghana’s Black Galaxies.
