Arsenal secured the 2024 Emirates Cup with a 2-0 victory over Lyon on Sunday, following an impressive week of performances. The Gunners had previously defeated Bayer Leverkusen 4-1 earlier in the week.
In front of a home crowd at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal continued their strong form. William Saliba scored the opening goal in the first half, heading in a corner from Declan Rice. Rice also assisted the second goal, which Gabriel Magalhães headed into the net.
Arsenal, managed by Mikel Arteta, will begin their Premier League campaign with a home match against Wolves next Saturday.
