APGA: Ezeokenwa Faction Celebrates Supreme Court Ruling, Njoku Faction Silent

-

Members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) loyal to the Sly Ezeokenwa faction have celebrated the recent Supreme Court ruling that affirmed Ezeokenwa as the legitimate National Chairman of the party. The ruling, according to party members, will help stabilize the party and prevent further fragmentation.

Key figures in the Ezeokenwa faction, including Nzube Monday and Kennedy Uduma, expressed their optimism, stating that the judgment would enable them to focus on preparations for the 2027 elections. Professor Gregory Ibe, APGA’s 2023 gubernatorial candidate, also commended the ruling, emphasizing its validation of the 2023 National Convention that elected Ezeokenwa as the leader of the party’s National Working Committee.

Ibe urged Edozie Njoku, leader of the opposing faction, to accept the ruling and work toward rebuilding and strengthening the party. He called for unity, suggesting that the party use this moment to reassert itself as a credible political force.

However, while the Ezeokenwa faction rejoices, the Edozie Njoku faction has remained quiet following the ruling. Onuoha Egbe Benon, who leads the Njoku faction in Abia, has yet to make any public statements regarding the court’s decision.
