“Nigerian Comedian Buchi Accuses Estranged Wife’s Family of Child Abduction”
Onyebuchi Ojieh, the well-known Nigerian comedian performing under the stage name Buchi, has leveled serious allegations against his estranged wife’s family. He claims they have forcibly taken custody of his two children and are preventing him from having contact with them.
Buchi and his now-ex-wife, Rukky, entered into marriage in 2017 and had two children together. However, their marriage came to an end in 2022 amid allegations of domestic abuse.
In a recent development, the comedian and actor has alleged that his wife’s family played a role in the abduction of his children, named Isede and Salami. He expressed his deep frustration at being denied access to them and made it clear that such actions would not deter him from pursuing legal recourse.
Buchi questioned how his in-laws would react if they found themselves in a similar situation, where someone took their children away from them, particularly considering the effort they put into bringing them into the world.
Through a series of Instagram posts that seem to serve as a warning to his estranged wife’s family, Buchi implored them to grant him access to his children. He emphasized his right to see his kids and stated, “You can stop me from talking to them. You can’t stop the law.”
In one of his posts, he directly addressed his in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Salami, implying that even if someone took away their children, they would survive the ordeal. Buchi’s plea remains clear: he seeks access to his beloved kids, Isede and Salami.
