Popular Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, is defying the instructions of his religious cleric (Alfa) as he prepares to commemorate his father’s burial in Ijebu.
Several weeks ago, Bobrisky and his family experienced the loss of their beloved father, Kunle Okuneye, which he had initially shared on his Snapchat account. His brother, Debola Okuneye, provided further details about the death and funeral to Punch, and a close friend and colleague, ‘Lastbborn,’ also shed light on the circumstances.
The burial took place at 4 pm in Ijebu-Igbo, Ogun State, following Islamic customs. During the burial, a viral video showed a religious cleric advising Bobrisky against hosting a celebration for his father.
However, it appears that Bobrisky is disregarding the cleric’s warning and instructions. He is gearing up to make a significant impact on Ijebu during his father’s burial. Bobrisky shared a video on his Instagram page where he was selecting a headtie (gele) for the event. He promised to “paint Ijebu Igbo blue and black” during his father’s 41-day and final burial on September 30th.
