A tragic accident occurred on Friday in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, resulting in the deaths of three police officers and a female suspect.
The officers, part of the state’s police monitoring unit, were en route from Akure to Ore to make an arrest when a truck lost control and crashed into their vehicle. The identities of the victims have not been confirmed at the time of this report. One police officer survived with serious injuries and was immediately rushed to a hospital.
According to an anonymous source, the accident occurred as the truck descended Ore Bridge and collided with the police vehicle. It was later revealed that the deceased female suspect was being transported by the officers from Akure for an arrest.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the incident and stated that a formal report will be issued soon.
