Udinese and Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has successfully undergone surgery on his wrist following an injury sustained during a Serie A clash against Genoa last week.
The club confirmed via its official website that the procedure was performed by Dr. Loris Pegoli at the La Madonnina clinic in Milan on Monday.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper, who has made 14 league appearances for Udinese this season, will now begin his rehabilitation. While the exact recovery timeline has not been disclosed, Okoye is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks.
The former Sparta Rotterdam shot-stopper has been an integral part of Udinese’s squad, and his absence will be felt as the Zebras navigate the remainder of the Serie A season.
