Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has named Liverpool and Arsenal as the two clubs that can realistically win the Premier League title this season. Liverpool currently sits at the top of the table, seven points ahead of second-placed Chelsea and third-placed Arsenal, although they dropped two points following a 3-3 draw with Newcastle United on Wednesday.
Leboeuf expressed confidence in both Liverpool and Arsenal, while stating that Manchester City is likely to struggle this season. He also noted that Chelsea, despite their promising young squad, may face challenges due to inexperience.
“In the title race, I still put Arsenal and Liverpool,” Leboeuf told ESPN FC. “City is going to struggle. I don’t have Chelsea in the title race. Only Arsenal and Liverpool for me. I want to be cautious.”
He added that Arsenal is capable of bouncing back, and if Liverpool continues to drop points, Arsenal could close the gap. However, Leboeuf emphasized the lack of experience in Chelsea’s squad as a potential stumbling block in their title pursuit.
