Ikorodu City head coach, Nurudeen Aweroro, believes the team’s progress will not be hindered by the absence of defender Waliu Ojetoye, who has been called up for the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers against Ghana. Ojetoye is among the 30 players selected by head coach Augustine Eguavoen for the match against the Black Galaxies.
Aweroro expressed confidence in his squad, stating that the team has capable replacements for their club captain. “We have players that will cover for those who have been called up to the Super Eagles B team,” he said. “We signed about 30 players, and others are ready to step in.”
The home-based players are set to report to Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Wednesday, December 4, to begin their training camp.
